Join us for a Sunday dedicated to the Biblical doctrine of the creation of the world! At Lakewood Baptist Church, we believe that the entire Bible matters, especially the beginning. We hold to God's ex nihilo (out of nothing) creation of the world in six literal 24 hour periods.
Our special speaker will be Dr. Jesse Sherburn, one of Pastor Dave's science professors from college and now one of his friends. Jesse has a passion for good science because he has a passion for the God who created the world!
Jesse holds a PhD in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University, where he studied under John Baumgartner. He is presently a Research Mechanical Engineer at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center in Vicksburg, MS.
